Len Shindel

Len Shindel is a retired United Steelworker local leader, who formerly worked at Bethlehem Steel's Sparrows Point, Md. plant. After Bethlehem's bankruptcy, he went to work in the Washington, D.C. headquarters of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, retiring in 2015 as a media specialist. Shindel lives in Garrett County in Western Maryland and is working on a book about the Garrett County Roads Workers Strike of 1970 (www.garrettroadstrike.com).
